Last Sunday Hugo Ljungqvist represented us as a speaker for the latest European Young Engineers (EYE) conference. Here is what he had to say about his experience: A very cool conference with a very cool and fun ways to interact with people without having to be there, haven´t played Pokemon games in a while so it feels like going back in time. The conference itself had very good quality with the organizing and everything that there was to do, I particularly enjoyed the podcast. It was very fun to have discussions with engineers and se how they look at the world, today's challenges and the future. I was a bit worried before considering that I am not a engener, I just have a lot of experience from the motorsport world and the inovations and development that is going on there, it definitely helped that I have been involved in the motorsport field for so meny years to be able to talk about it and being able to include it in other fields than motorsport and that everyone has the potential to be innovative and to make a difference. In terms of what we at Aquila Formula 1000 are doing and how it fits in into other parts of society I would say a lot, in one way or another. It obviously depends on field and surcomstances but in on questions such as green energy and if it really is green and if nuclear power should be used more our experiences and ways to make motorsport both green and cheeper at the same time really came in hand and is a good example of what is possible to do and I personally think that we are a very good example to the rest of the world in that aspekt.
On Sunday, we hosted the first European Young Engineers (EYE) online conference using Gather Town We brought together over 80 young engineers and EYE partners from across the world for networking, shared discussion and presentations. Some of the highlights: - Discussing the role engineers play globally in areas of Energy, AI and Digitalisation - Presenting the EYE platform and team wholly with interactive workshops - Our podcast team at Tomorrow's Engineers hosting their very first live podcast throughout the event - Sharing our continued ambitious drive towards forming a Global Young Engineers Coalition - Hunting the map for coffee, secret solar panels and ducks! It was an ambitious project, we learned lots but feeling proud of the team for what we provided - a free, accessible platform for people across the world to integrate with young engineers.
