In our latest article, Andrew Renouf looks at whether the UK regional hotel market is pivoting more towards upscale and luxury lifestyle products in line with well-publicised travel trends. We found that whilst this trend is certainly reflected in recent openings and rebrands, the active development pipeline has reverted more towards the economy end of the market, unsurprising given current viability and funding issues.
