In a recent study published in Nature, Hung et al. explored the role of extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in tumor growth. These circular DNA structures, found in the nucleus, replicate independently of chromosomal DNA and can contribute to aggressive tumor behavior. The research reveals how distinct ecDNA species can coexist and work together within cancer cells, a process known as intermolecular cooperation. One of the key findings is that these cooperative ecDNA species are coordinately inherited through mitotic co-segregation, shedding light on the complexities of tumor cell behavior. As a part of this research, myTags DNA FISH probes were utilized to target various oncogenes and analyze copy numbers in this study. We are proud to contribute to this exciting research! We are thrilled to share this testimonial video featuring Adam Rork, a post-doctoral researcher at Purdue University. Adam's work focuses on the evolution of insect defensive glands, exploring how they produce chemicals and function in environmentally relevant contexts, focusing on the evolution of defensive glands for Bondimere Beetles. Adam has been collaborating with the Arbor team for the past three years, utilizing myBaits data and myReads services in his research. Despite the complexity of the data and samples he works with, Adam emphasizes the excellence of his experience, having informed guidance at every step of the process, and effective communication and data quality. We proudly support researchers like Adam and look forward to continuing our successful partnership in pursuing scientific discovery. https://lnkd.in/gCu8Q8xD

The myth. The legend. Today we're reminded of all the ongoing mysteries surrounding folklore and mythology in different regions - including a study our myBaits technology played a part in from 2017 that provided fascinating insights into the genetic identity and evolutionary history of enigmatic hominid-like creatures, which shed some light on their possible biological basis. We love being a part of these studies that help explore the world's mysteries! What did the study undercover? Check it out 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gKeQXeUk #SasquatchAwarenessDay #Genetics #Research

In an era of pandemic-inspired innovation, new technologies are emerging to enable rapid antibody therapeutic development. We are excited to highlight the power of cell-free protein expression to accelerate antibody discovery workflows. Cell-free expression saves valuable time and costs by supporting linear DNA templates, having short reaction times, skipping purification, and proceeding directly to binding or activity assays after protein expression. Check out our Scientist Corner blog post written by our myTXTL team of scientists, Benjamin Steil and Nathan Gardner, PhD, to learn more about this exciting advancement! https://lnkd.in/gEebQ8Xj #AntibodyTherapeutics #CellFreeExpression
