#ArctechProject #Arctech, the world’s solar tracking and racking solutions provider, announced that its #1P #singleaxis dual-row #solartracking system #SkyWings had facilitated the on-time grid connection of Mengxi Blue Ocean Photovoltaic Power Station, the world’s largest single-capacity #solarplant built on coal mining subsidence area. By adopting #SkyWings, the plant's annual average grid-connected capacity is enhanced by an impressive 7.41%, greatly improving the ROI. Upon operation, this plant is expected to generate 5.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, sufficient to power two million households. Each year, it can save 1.71 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 4.7 million tons — equivalent to planting 62,700 hectares of trees. #ArctechObservation The data released by Australia's Clean Energy Council, as reported by pv magazine Australia, indicates that there were 10 new #largescalesolar and wind #energygeneration projects with a total capacity of 1,405 MW from July to September. Additionally, there are currently 89 #renewable #electricitygeneration projects either in the construction phase or having secured financial commitment, amounting to a pipeline capacity of 13.9 GW. At present, #renewableenergy sources such as hydro, #solar and wind contribute to 40% of Australia's #electricitysupply; this share is expected to reach nearly 50% by the end of next year. However, in order to achieve the federal government's target of generating 82% of energy from #renewables by 2030, #Australia needs to add between 6 GW and 7 GW of new #renewablegeneration capacity annually - an average quarterly addition rate exceeding at least 1.5 GW.
