This afternoon, healthcare leaders and finance experts gathered for our Wall Street event at Belmont University Fisher Center for Performing Arts. Nearly 500 attendees joined the 27th edition to hear the perspectives of Wall Street’s key experts and enjoy a unique opportunity to network with peers. Marty Bonick, President and CEO of Ardent Health, moderated the afternoon’s dynamic panel. Matthew Gillmor Managing Director of Healthcare Services at KeyBanc Capital Markets, Jessica Tassan, Senior Equity Research Analyst of Healthcare Technology and Distribution at Piper Sandler, and A.J. Rice, Managing Director of US Managed Care & Facilities at UBS were this year’s expert panelists who shared their insights in policy, 2024 merger and acquisitions, what they believe will be 2025 emerging trends, and a crowd favorite – top 2025 stock picks. Themes from today’s panel were: 1️⃣ Market Volatility & Policy Uncertainty – Hospitals are recovering, but Medicare Advantage struggles with rising costs. The incoming administration and regulatory shifts add more uncertainty. 2️⃣ AI & Tech in Healthcare – AI-driven scribe technology is streamlining provider workflows, while digital behavioral health solutions are expanding due to new parity regulations. 3️⃣ Investment & M&A Resurgence – Healthcare deals are picking up, especially in post-acute care, behavioral health, and tech-driven efficiency solutions. Companies with diversified revenue models will thrive. 4️⃣ Rising Utilization & Cost Pressures – Higher patient volumes and increased care needs are pushing up costs across the system, challenging both insurers and providers to adapt Stay tuned for more information from our signature event and 30th anniversary celebration! Meeting patients where they are. It will always be our focus at Ardent Health, and I’m excited to share that we are expanding our urgent care network. We have successfully acquired 18 urgent care clinics from NextCare Urgent Care in Oklahoma and New Mexico, joining Hillcrest HealthCare System and Lovelace Health System, respectively. Integrating into our health systems, these clinics improve access for lower-level urgent needs while also creating a continuum of care for patients who may then need primary or specialty care. https://lnkd.in/eV8UyWBV It’s another way we’re working to make healthcare better.
