ARISE - advancing industrial HRI

🚀 We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our 1st Open Call, which closed on January 16, 2025. We received an amazing 126 applications from 22 countries, highlighting a growing interest in advancing Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) across Europe. 🌍🤖 The evaluation phase is now underway, and soon we’ll be announcing the selected projects that will benefit from funding, mentoring, and access to the ARISE ecosystem. 🌍 Last week Demos Helsinki visited CARTIF and their Testing and Experimentation Facility 🙌 The visit featured an insightful workshop on human-centricity, ethics, and co-development, specifically addressing key ethical and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) aspects in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). 🤖✨ SSH research is quite relevant to the ARISE project, helping to assess the cultural and societal impacts of Human-Robot Interaction. It enables the identification of challenges to adoption and supports the long-term sustainability, safety, and acceptability of our technologies. Thanks to all the people involved!
