Scott Mason IV, the Environmental Protection Agency's newly appointed administrator for Region 6 (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and 66 Tribal Nations), visited the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment (E&E) today, meeting with Secretary Shane Khoury, Chief Administrator of Environment Bailey Taylor, and E&E staff. "Through working with Mason over the past four years in his state role in Oklahoma, I know that he will do an excellent job and I’m excited to work with him in this new capacity,” Khoury said. E&E looks forward to collaborating with the new EPA administration to implement federal policies that protect Arkansas’ air, water, and land resources while promoting economic growth. Khoury noted that Mason's first visit as administrator was to Arkansas to discuss the state's Clean Water Act 303(d) Program.
