The Arlington Independent School District offers an outstanding, well-rounded educational experience with award-winning academic and nationally recognized extracurricular programs. With nearly 60,000 enrolled students, the Arlington ISD is the 11th largest school district in Texas. The AISD has a total of 77 schools - 12 high schools (six regular, six alternative), 10 junior high schools and 55 elementary schools (54 regular, one prekindergarten). The district is the largest employer in Arlington and the third-largest employer in Tarrant County with more than 8,500 administrators, teachers and support staff. More than a partnership. When the National Medal of Honor Museum opens in March 2025, seventh graders from Gunn Junior High and Fine Arts and Dual Language Academy will be the first student group to visit. That’s because they are also the first students to take a pilot curriculum developed by the museum’s Griffin Institute that teaches the values of Medal of Honor recipients.
