"'In 2040 we're going to have robots!' Well ... what happens in between?" AAL's LTC Nicholas Rinaldi talks to Lawrence Walter of Code19 Racing, the first professional autonomous motorsports team on Earth. There's been so much innovation in the history of auto racing, and much of that has been to the benefit of defense. Nick wants to see the Army increase its willingness to adopt these technologies and be satisfied with less-than-perfect solutions. "If [startups] have it today, we have to start using it. We can't wait 10 years." At least that's what we think he said. Hard to hear over the cars on the track at Circuit of The Americas!
