  • AGG partners Michael Burke and Allison Raley share insights in a Corporate Compliance Insights article discussing the impact of the 2024 election results on corporate regulation and what compliance, risk, and governance professionals might expect in 2025. “A reallocation of resources may occur, with a focus on areas like immigration and trade, potentially leading to reduced emphasis on current enforcement industries of interest,” said Mike and Allison. “This shift could alter the risk landscape for businesses operating in regulated industries. These anticipated changes should prompt businesses to reassess their governance and risk management strategies to address regulatory changes.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/esD5s_Hm

  • In a recent article for Corporate Compliance Insights, Allison Raley, AGG partner and Emerging Technologies co-chair, discusses how companies can stay prepared for audits and investigations. She explains that the SEC’s recent fining of 26 financial firms for $390 million serves as a reminder of the importance of comprehensive compliance systems. “For businesses to operate smoothly under regulatory scrutiny, they must create detailed policies and procedures tailored to their specific industry requirements,” Allison said. “The recent SEC fines underscore how critical it is for companies to have a proactive, well-structured compliance program in place.
