When I made the decision to pursue my MBA, I resolved to pursue as many valuable extracurricular opportunities as possible—a commitment I hadn’t fully embraced during my undergraduate years. I chose to compete in an equity research challenge of a publicly traded company. The process started in November 2023 and concluded last week, resulting in second place overall. Throughout the process, I gained valuable insights into the meticulous research involved in company valuation and crafting an investment recommendation. More significantly, I had the privilege to challenge my critical thinking skills and collaborate with a team of remarkable individuals I am pleased to now call friends. To quote Peter Smulovics on the Power of Collective Intelligence: "Collective intelligence is the idea that a group of individuals, when working together, can achieve a level of wisdom, problem-solving, and creativity that surpasses what any single person could achieve alone. By surrounding ourselves with people who are more knowledgeable, talented, or experienced in different areas, we open the door to collective intelligence. This collective knowledge can lead to innovative solutions, better decision-making, and personal growth." I am incredibly proud of this team accomplishment and the environment being fostered at New Mexico State University Graduate School and the Arrowhead Center: New Mexico State University.

Exciting news! 📰🚨 The Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship, housed at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center, has announced the appointment of NMSU alumnus Daniel Jones Jones as entrepreneur-in-residence. As an entrepreneur-in-residence, Jones will play a pivotal role in advancing the Hunt Center’s mission to grow entrepreneurial strength and diversity in the Borderplex region and throughout New Mexico. With a proven track record as a leader, executor, and value creator, Daniel is uniquely positioned to inspire and guide emerging entrepreneurs on their journey toward success.
