This time last year at the World Economic Forum, we released seminal research as collaboration between them and the McKinsey Health Institute shedding light on the women’s health gap – the 25% more time women spend in poor health than men on average – and the annual $1+ trillion health and economic opportunity that exists by closing it.   Now, the World Economic Forum and the McKinsey Health Institute are releasing a new report with the blueprint to close this gap, starting with nine conditions that make up one-third of the women’s health gap – and equate to a $400 billion opportunity. 🌟 Gameto has announced the world’s first live birth using Fertilo, a new technology that matures eggs outside the body. The birth, which took place at Clinica Santa Isabel in Lima, Peru, represents a significant advancement in fertility treatment by eliminating approximately 80% of hormone injections typically required in conventional IVF. These approaches mirror the success seen in rheumatoid arthritis and the targeted approach in oncology, where understanding the molecular basis of diseases has led to breakthrough therapies. Pharma and diagnostic companies, and researchers are encouraged to explore these novel mechanisms of action, as endometriosis offers a significant unmet medical need and a substantial commercial opportunity.
