Few movements embody this power quite like Art Nouveau and Art Deco—which birthed two distinct, yet intertwined versions of the future that still resonate with us deeply today. A rebellion against Victorian rigidity, Art Nouveau elevated all forms of craftsmanship, jewelry included, to the same plane. Artists of the period looked relentlessly towards the future, but embraced nature’s fluidity as a symbol of freedom and progress. It’s an influence that’s easy to spot in our Tanzanite & Pearl Cuff, where diamond filigree flows around the wrist, joyfully framing a stunning oversized Tanzanite and ethereal baroque Pearl. The ornate optimism of Art Nouveau gave way to Art Deco’s sharper, more confident vision of the future. We’re welcoming in the Year of the Snake by sharing a few of our favorite serpentine pieces of jewelry and the story behind each... 🐍 In our blackened Gold and Diamond Cobra ring, we explore the snake’s legacy as a symbol of transformation and protection. Designed to coil around the finger, it twists and turns just like a real serpent would — its flexible body a feat made possible by using a patented technology that allows the ring to mold perfectly to the woman who wears it without losing its original state. That means its perfectly rendered cobra head will always hover protectively over her finger, a fierce reminder of her own inner strength.    Our Eternal Emerald and Diamond Snake Cuff is an ode to the more esoteric symbolism of serpents. In Alchemic lore, two intertwining snakes symbolize eternity and endless return — speaking to the idea that nothing is ever really lost, only transformed into something new in an endless cycle. And of course, we can’t talk about snakes without talking about the serpent in the Garden of Eden, rendered here in our “End of the Beginning or Beginning of the End” cuff. The pieces in our Engima collection capture that magic. Inspired by the sensual, highly decorated thresholds of Mughal architecture, each is meant to draw you into the deep unknown. A gold bracelet inlaid with reverse-pave Diamonds inspired by sweeping multifoil arches holds a magnificent teal Paraiba Tourmaline at its center—glowing with mystery, calling you to come closer and step through. A pair of Black Jade, Diamond, and Emerald earrings take the shape of literal portals, a masterful play on negative space that leaves room for possibility to unfurl.
