Everyone loves a rebel—and artists are perhaps the greatest rebels of all. They shape culture by transforming boundary-pushing ideas into something beautiful, letting new ways of living slip into our collective consciousness. Few movements embody this power quite like Art Nouveau and Art Deco—which birthed two distinct, yet intertwined versions of the future that still resonate with us deeply today. A rebellion against Victorian rigidity, Art Nouveau elevated all forms of craftsmanship, jewelry included, to the same plane. Artists of the period looked relentlessly towards the future, but embraced nature’s fluidity as a symbol of freedom and progress. It’s an influence that’s easy to spot in our Tanzanite & Pearl Cuff, where diamond filigree flows around the wrist, joyfully framing a stunning oversized Tanzanite and ethereal baroque Pearl. The ornate optimism of Art Nouveau gave way to Art Deco’s sharper, more confident vision of the future. Organic curves solidified into bold geometry, and an emphasis on symmetry and balance became the method du jour for communicating progress toward harmony. It’s a shift embodied in our Emerald & Diamond Shapeshifter Earrings and Elongated Hexagon Bangle, both of which embrace Art Deco’s belief in a luminous future—and wearing them is a reminder that there is always something greater to reach for. Like art, high jewelry is an act of aesthetic alchemy—melding influences like art, philosophy, and a rejection of the status quo into something that is at once instantly recognizable and utterly new. When done well, a cuff or pair of earrings become transcendent, layered with history, context, and emotion. And when done masterfully? It manifests our deepest fantasies into something tangible—and undeniably precious.

Love is the core of everything we do at ArunAshi. It runs through every piece of jewelry we design and every word we write…it’s our very raison d'être. 💘 But love is a funny mistress. It’s demanding—its touch obvious—and yet its true nature is fundamentally unknowable, one of the greatest mysteries of all. As acolytes at the altar of love, we’re happy to be swept away by its secret machinations. It’s our great purpose to render the sweet nothings love whispers to us in precious gemstones and metals. Take, for example, a ring where an exquisite carved Ruby leaf kisses the knuckle and a pavé Diamond band curls around the finger with all the tenderness of a lover’s caress. Bold and a little bit possessive, wearing it connects you to the kind of wild, unbridled love that sprouts from the earth like vines. Love can ground us, but it can also shift our gravity. The earrings above were inspired by love’s power to reorder the universe. Their deep Emeralds center their own galaxies. And their magnetism pulls us into orbit like a brilliant halo of Diamonds, giving all of the parts of us that flash in and out of view like the fire within an Opal something to coalesce around. Gentle but unyielding, love is what allows us to bloom. Only in its light can we unfurl, a release captured in a pair of earrings where petals of Rubies and Diamonds are caught in the intimate act of revealing themselves for the world to see. We like to think of ourselves as Alchemists here at ArunAshi. But the truth of the matter is that anyone who lets love in practices the ultimate kind of alchemy. Because you see, love is transformation—it alters everything around us and every fiber of our being in ways that no one can control.

Happy Lunar New Year! We’re welcoming in the Year of the Snake by sharing a few of our favorite serpentine pieces of jewelry and the story behind each... 🐍 In our blackened Gold and Diamond Cobra ring, we explore the snake’s legacy as a symbol of transformation and protection. Designed to coil around the finger, it twists and turns just like a real serpent would — its flexible body a feat made possible by using a patented technology that allows the ring to mold perfectly to the woman who wears it without losing its original state. That means its perfectly rendered cobra head will always hover protectively over her finger, a fierce reminder of her own inner strength. Our Eternal Emerald and Diamond Snake Cuff is an ode to the more esoteric symbolism of serpents. In Alchemic lore, two intertwining snakes symbolize eternity and endless return — speaking to the idea that nothing is ever really lost, only transformed into something new in an endless cycle. And of course, we can’t talk about snakes without talking about the serpent in the Garden of Eden, rendered here in our “End of the Beginning or Beginning of the End” cuff. Adorned in Fire Opals, Tsavorites, and Diamonds, the snake is gorgeously tempting, beckoning us to indulge in the forbidden—consequences be damned.

Arches, gates, and doors are all spaces that hold immense power. Stepping through them is to transition from the known into the mystery that awaits on the other side. The pieces in our Engima collection capture that magic. Inspired by the sensual, highly decorated thresholds of Mughal architecture, each is meant to draw you into the deep unknown. A gold bracelet inlaid with reverse-pave Diamonds inspired by sweeping multifoil arches holds a magnificent teal Paraiba Tourmaline at its center—glowing with mystery, calling you to come closer and step through. A pair of Black Jade, Diamond, and Emerald earrings take the shape of literal portals, a masterful play on negative space that leaves room for possibility to unfurl. A ring with a setting inspired by ornate motifs of Indian architecture creates a portal where a Sphene beckons, its vibrant green hue promising spiritual enlightenment and knowledge for those bold enough to cross. Each of these pieces is a manifestation of the symbolic power of an archway. These thresholds, like the first handful of days of the year, are sacred spaces—filled with promises of greatness and opportunity. We all yearn to solve the mystery of who we are, and this time of year that desire is all the more sharp. But remember, the answers we seek are always ready to greet us…if only we step beyond the gates and into the great unknown.

Those born in January are blessed with Garnet as their birthstone. Symbolizing love, passion, protection, and vitality, these beautiful gemstones are among designer Arun Bohra’s favorites to work with. Here, he gives us a peek into why Garnets continue to inspire him…
Creative Director, CEO, & Founder at ArunAshi | GIA-Certified Gemologist | Award-Winning Jewelry Designer
Magnificently beautiful, exceedingly rare, and stunningly unique, Garnet is one of those gemstones that gets my imagination whirring, dreaming up designs and settings to bring out the best of their bold colors and otherworldly glow. Sometimes, they call for little adornment. The perfectly matched and expertly cut set of cinnamon Hessonite Garnets in the earrings here are all the more dramatic thanks to their restrained Yellow Diamond and Gold setting. But other times, Garnets like those in the Mandarin Garnet, Pearl & Opal Necklace and the Demantoid Sea Urchin Ring, also shown here, draw out the maximalist in me. They demand to be placed in sculptural settings studded with Diamonds, surrounded by strands of lustrous white Pearls, and paired with Opals that draw out their fire. Beyond their aesthetic beauty, Garnets lend a kind of poignancy to every piece of jewelry I design around them. Across history, they’ve been associated with love and passion, strength and vitality, and protection and spiritual well-being…and the jewelry I create with them is meant to draw forth the very best in the woman who wears it.

To an alchemist, the twilight of the year is all but sacred. It is not an end or a beginning. It’s simply a pause—like the space between two breaths or the apex of an infinity symbol—where we can surrender what we’ve done to make space for all we’ve yet to do. So today, we invite you to revel in this moment with us. It has been said that there is no growth without loss, and there is no art without longing. And that is exactly what this time of the year gives us space to do. We can register the loss of the last 365 days and long for a turn of the calendar that brings brighter, better things. But nothing is ever really lost, is it? To an alchemist, days gone by—time that we can’t get back—aren't gone forever. Oh, no. That loss is fuel for transformation. Something that can be turned into tangible, visceral creations far greater than the sum of their parts. We can only hope that this new trip around the sun will bring us more opportunities to fly into the great mysteries of life. To give us a feast of sights, emotions, and experiences that we can turn into art. But until then, we’re reveling in the infinite beauty of now. Wishing you a beautiful new year!

Stillness. Peace. Quiet. The twilight of the year reminds us that there is immense beauty in culling, paring back, and going inward. Because in the cover of darkness—in the embrace of winter’s long velvet nights—growth stirs quietly. Hidden from sight, and yet so full of potential. Diamonds are born in that same primordial darkness, formed over millennia in the secret heart of the Earth. Emerging from where they were cocooned, they shine every bit as bright as a canopy of winter stars. Our Step Ladder Hoops are a bridge to the powerful forces of creation that exist just under the surface. Alternating rungs of glittering rose-cut and pristine baguette-cut diamonds reveal a pathway for introspection, inviting us to climb the ladder of our own spirit towards our own inner light. Each sparkling diamond is a step toward that light — a chance to glimpse eternity while firmly grounded here on earth. That they shine so brightly is a testament to the beauty of this time of year. The dazzling play of light they create is akin to the stark beauty of snow glittering under a winter sun or the stars that dance across dark skies. This winter, may you savor the chance to get quiet and be still. Because it is only in doing so will the pathway to the next bright, gorgeous thing reveal itself.

We’re never one to say no to the chance to celebrate. We love getting all dressed up with somewhere to go, letting our hedonistic side take the reigns, and leaning into a blur of late nights, stolen kisses, and glasses of bubbly. So consider this your formal invitation to the best time of the year: party season. And what better way to celebrate than with Diamonds that call to mind champagne showers? A pair of knotted Fancy Yellow Diamond earrings look like joy incarnate—but tell a story that goes far beyond small talk. Their sinuous shape was designed to celebrate the ways in which we are all beautifully intertwined…and the hundreds of intricately set vivid and fancy Yellow diamonds that adorn them amplify the kind of glow that only comes from knowing you belong. A pair of mesmerizing Old Mine Cut Diamond and Titanium earrings, meanwhile, are a reminder that we can revel in tradition without letting it weigh us down. Like popping a bottle of perfectly aged champagne, they combine the very best of what was—in this case perfectly symmetrical and beautifully radiant Old Mine Cut Diamonds—with the here and now. Whether it’s the radiant glow of Fancy Yellow Diamonds celebrating hope, optimism, and connection or the timeless allure of Old Mine Cut Diamonds that blend tradition with modernity—jewelry is a reminder that every moment is worth celebrating. So get dressed up, raise a glass, and join us in toasting the unbridled joy only this time of year can bring. Because there’s no better way to celebrate than with a little sparkle.

This Thanksgiving, we find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude for every great, glittering, beautiful, and breathtaking moment of 2024. Gratitude for every delicious spark of inspiration we experienced, and every creative idea the universe birthed through us. But most of all, gratitude for all of those who have chosen to support us this year. You are the reason we do what we do, and are our true muse. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We’re never one to deny our sensual side, and the holiday season brings out the very best of our indulgent nature. It’s the few weeks a year when pleasure takes up her rightful place as our ringmaster, swirling us through parties full of toasts, presents, and stolen kisses. We have three simple rules when it comes to making the most of the holiday season: Dress well, celebrate wholeheartedly, and give generously. DRESSING: Holiday outfits should be built around sparkle — so start with the jewelry. We love Emeralds for the season, especially when paired with diamonds, pearls, and a red lip. CELEBRATING: Take a cue from your favorite bubbles and show up to each celebration at your most effervescent. Be wild, be earnest, be you. After all, the best gift you can give (besides jewels, of course) is spending time with those you love as your fullest, most beautiful, pleasure-filled self. GIFTING: It's no surprise that we’re partial to giving one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. But the art of giving the perfect gift is all in the feeling. A ring studded with rare Emeralds and encrusted with Diamonds is a surefire way to make your giftee feel treasured — and make you feel the thrill of knowing you’ve given them something no one else can have. Cheers to a holiday season well spent.
