  • Finally caught up with David B Magee, MBA this week! Back in August, we implemented a new business phone system for his company Magee Insurance - Benefits That Matter. Also thanks to Allison V Magee, MS, CO for trusting the process! On a side note, David helped me personally last year when I was shopping for a major medical policy. He was very helpful and great to work with! Open enrollment is right around the corner! Reach out to Dave for you health insurance needs!

A HUGE thank you to my client Collegium Charter School! We recently finished up an installation of almost 500 telephones across 7 buildings in Exton, PA. We installed Poly Edge E Series telephones along with Algo paging adapters. A very special thanks to Director of IT, Erik Daniele! He made sure the network was ready for our VoIP install and we always available for anything we needed. Also thanks to Cole Girard and for all of his hard work in the data closets making sure all of our connections were straight! And can't forget to mention Tanner Ragghianti for his assistance!

  • Save the date! This is a great event! BTW, we just happen to be the official telecommunications sponsor for the WCFF!!

  • This is certainly something for everybody to keep their eye on. The Federal USF "tax" is the largest tax line item a business or consumer will see on their telecom bill.

The Supreme Court's Chevron decision may have influenced the kill off of the Universal Service Fund which was found to be an unconstitutional tax by 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. This ruling could devastate rural and low-income communities' access to vital telecommunications services and impact businesses nationwide. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has delivered a stunning blow to the Federal Communications Commission's Universal Service Fund. In a 9-7 decision, the court struck down the FCC's method for subsidizing telecommunications service in underserved areas. Key takeaways: 1. The court ruled the FCC's "universal service" fee is actually a tax. 2. It found the FCC improperly delegated taxing authority to the Universal Service Administrative Company. 3. This creates a circuit split, potentially setting up a Supreme Court showdown. 👉What does this mean for the average business? 1. Potential reduction in telecommunications fees, as USF charges may be eliminated. 2. Possible disruption in service quality or availability for businesses with rural customers or employees. 3. Increased costs for companies expanding into underserved areas without subsidized infrastructure. This decision throws the future of rural broadband and affordable phone service into uncertainty. For decades, the Universal Service Fund has been crucial in bridging the digital divide, ensuring that all Americans have access to modern communications infrastructure. The ruling challenges the very foundation of how we fund telecommunications equity in the United States. It raises serious questions about how we'll continue to support connectivity in areas where market forces alone aren't enough. Did Congress take a shortcut in pushing it’s responsibility to the FCC illegally? Share your ideas below. #PhoneBill ☎️ #TelecomPolicy #DigitalDivide #RuralBroadband #FCC #BusinessImpact
