Celebrating Bravery and a Life Saved We are incredibly proud to recognize Jesse Bretz, Plant Foreman at Asphalt Specialties, as the recipient of our 2024 Life Saving Award for his heroic actions on the night of October 26th. Today, Jeff Turner, Safety and Risk Manager at Asphalt Specialties, had the honor of presenting this award to Jesse on behalf of our entire team. In a moment of danger and without a second thought, Jesse sprang into action. While driving along Washington Street near Thornton Parkway, he witnessed a high-speed collision where a Subaru sedan struck a Ford SUV at a red light, sparking a fire and creating a life-threatening situation. With incredible courage, Jesse rushed to the burning wreckage, pulled the driver from harm’s way, and provided critical aid until first responders arrived. Jesse’s quick thinking and selfless bravery saved a life that night. His actions are a powerful testament to the character and compassion of the Asphalt Specialties team. Thank you, Jesse, for your extraordinary courage and compassion. You make us all proud!

Honoring Our Veterans: The History, Meaning, and Our Deepest Gratitude As Veterans Day approaches, we at Asphalt Specialties want to take a moment to recognize the immense courage, dedication, and sacrifice made by those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Veterans Day, originally called Armistice Day, marks the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when World War I officially ended. In 1954, it was renamed Veterans Day, expanding its meaning to honor all who have served across generations and conflicts to protect our nation and its values. To every veteran who has selflessly given of themselves, we owe a debt that can never be repaid. Your dedication has helped ensure our freedoms and shaped the future for generations to come. At Asphalt Specialties, we feel deeply privileged to honor and celebrate all veterans, especially those in our Wolfpack family. Let’s take time to reach out to the veterans in our lives to offer our thanks and acknowledge the sacrifices they’ve made. A simple "thank you" can go a long way in showing our respect and appreciation. Thank you to all who have served—past, present, and future. 🇺🇸 #VeteransDay #ThankYouVeterans #HonoringOurHeroes #AsphaltSpecialties
