Meet Echo! We recently sponsored Echo, a German Shepherd rescue dog, through Paws of War, a nonprofit that rescues and trains dogs to assist U.S. military veterans. This training is vital for Echo, who will become a fully trained certified service dog equipped to assist a veteran in managing the challenges of combat-related PTSD. We are proud to contribute to this impactful mission and help make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country. #PawsofWar #veterans #sponsor

We are thrilled to celebrate our first-ever #NationalApprenticeshipWeek at Associated Materials! This week, we’re spotlighting two of our Maintenance Technician apprentices at our Kinston plant, supported through the Wayne Community College Apprenticeship Wayne program. Their hard work, dedication, and eagerness to learn have already made a meaningful impact on our team’s success. Here’s what Brian Rakers, Maintenance Manager, had to say: “Having apprentices on the team has been a fantastic experience. They’ve quickly become an essential part of our team, bringing fresh energy, asking insightful questions, and showing a strong desire to learn. This program is helping us build a pipeline of passionate, talented individuals. It’s been incredible to watch them grow and succeed.” Scroll through the pictures to hear from our apprentices who share more about their experience. #AMKinston #BuildingProductsBetter #ApprenticeshipWayne

We are excited to welcome Scott Sheffield, Senior Vice President of Operations for Associated Materials (AMI), to PEPA’s Board of Directors. In his role at AMI, Scott is responsible for business and financials for all operational sectors for the company, including P/L for window fabrication, vinyl siding, vinyl extrusions and the metals divisions. Scott joins our board with more than 20 years of experience in engineering, product manufacturing, sales and business development and supply chain management. Throughout his tenure in the building materials industry, Scott has held positions of increasing responsibility, including earlier in his career as President of MGM Industries, a vertically integrated manufacturer of new construction and replacement vinyl windows and doors. More recently, Scott served as Chief Operations Officer for Nashville Tempered Glass. Fun Fact: Scott began his career as a Tool and Die maker for the vinyl extrusion industry. While advancing to become an expert tool designer, builder and tuner, Scott graduated with honors from Youngstown State with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
