It's your last chance to apply for the AFP-GPC IDEA Fellowship. The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) Fellowship is a year-long program for fundraising professionals from underrepresented communities, including fundraisers of color (African American, Latinx, Hispanic, Asian), LGBTQ+ and/or gender nonconforming fundraisers, indigenous, other underrepresented communities, and emerging fundraisers who work at smaller, under-resourced nonprofits. The program is intended to recruit, retain, and educate ethnically diverse nonprofit fundraisers with the intent to increase the number of ethnically diverse fundraising/nonprofit professionals in the great Philadelphia region. The chosen candidate must be committed to attending the programs and events comprising the IDEA Fellows curriculum and have the full support of their supervisor and their organization’s leadership to participate in this educational program. Applicants do not need to be a member of AFP, but must fall within our chapter boundaries to be eligible for this opportunity. To apply, candidates should submit the completed application form by November 22, 2024. Please visit https://buff.ly/3PFuesh for more information.

Your hands ache from writing “We couldn’t do this work without you,” on hundreds of cards. The papercuts on your fingertips sting as you shovel another handful of Fritos into your mouth, desperate to keep your strength up to stuff more envelopes. The stacks of letters, notes, tri-fold mailers, and other materials threaten to turn your desk into kindling. Sound familiar? Well, that means it’s time for year-end donor outreach! Check out our newest blog, "The Balancing Act of Year-End Outreach in Major Gifts," to learn common risks and how to avoid them. Read it now at https://buff.ly/3YPP6Sb
