Boost AI inferencing performance with CXL-attached memory! At OCP Global Summit, Astera Labs showcased the impressive impact of CXL memory for Deep Learning Recommendation Models (DLRMs), popularly used for Netflix movie recommendations, Google Ads, and Facebook Media. Using a 5th Gen AMD EPYC processor, Samsung Semiconductor DDR5 memory, and four Leo CXL Smart Memory Controllers from Astera Labs, the demo revealed that doubling memory capacity and bandwidth led to a 70% performance increase for recommendation systems.
