Did you know the United States Navy SEALs were officially established on January 1, 1962. 🔱Background: The SEALs’ roots can be traced back to World War II, when the U.S. Military established the Amphibious Scout and Raider School at Fort Pierce, Florida in 1942. The Scouts and Raiders were formed in September 1942 from the Observer Group, a joint U.S. Army-Marine-Navy unit. 🔱Establishment President John F. Kennedy commissioned the first SEAL teams at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California, and Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Virginia. The teams were established to conduct unconventional warfare, counter-guerrilla warfare, and clandestine operations. 🔱No ceremony There was no celebration or ceremony to mark the establishment of the SEALs. The SEALs are the U.S. Navy’s primary special operations force. They are tasked with the military’s most dangerous covert operations, including special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, foreign internal defense, direct action, and unconventional warfare. Happy Birthday to the US Navy SEALs... January 1, 1962. HOOYAH!

“Underwater knot tying is a skill set that is trained for and tested on during Navy SEAL selection.” The Warrior Calling “It’s not just about mastering the knots.🪢 It’s also about learning quickly, following procedures and being able to perform under pressure.” “SOF operators must be able to learn quickly and adapt to their environment, including the water. Many people aren’t cut out for these types of demanding careers, it’s not for everyone. 🔱” “Spend time mastering your fitness, mindset and skills. Those who arrive at selection ready to perform have a much better chance of success. It’s called selection and assessment for a reason. “ “What are you doing today to prepare? ⚡️Comment KNOTS if this is a Skillset you need to learn. “ *Video for example purposes only, do not train in the water by yourself, always train with a buddy and lifeguard present. I train our team of special forces candidates in the pool on a monthly basis. 🤿 #navyseals #sealtraining #specialforces #militarytraining #MentalFortitude #knottying #budsprep
