About us
For almost 15 years, Attorney at Law Magazine has produced print and digital content for and about the private practice legal community. The magazine was published locally in niche markets nationwide, delivering updates on local legal news, interviews with prominent attorneys, associations and judges as well as advice columns to help attorneys better build their practice. Over the years, Attorney at Law Magazine has evolved to deliver a cohesive online, national magazine at AttorneyAtLawMagazine.com. While we continue to deliver print magazines in markets nationwide, our digital footprint has grown tremendously. In addition to our web visitors, Attorney at Law Magazine delivers content to readers through newsletters, social media and Google News (as one of the select sites to be Google News approved). With over 10 million magazines printed, Attorney at Law Magazine has interviewed, written, and published over 3,000 unique attorney feature stories as well as publishing over 10,000 industry specific articles. Attorney at Law Magazine also operates Local Legal Authority, America’s ONLY exclusive attorney directory with only one attorney per practice area per market represented.

Chad Henkel of Nifty Marketing shared his tips to "Play the Google real estate game" at the 2024 Great Legal Marketing Summit. He talked about dominating SERPs, connecting with your local community, common law firm website mistakes as well as how to outcompete the big law firms and the fierce competition in your area. If hundreds of law firms are competing in that one bigger city in your area, the competition is fierce. Instead of wasting your marketing budget trying to acquire cases from this densely populated city, build a strong campaign in one of the smaller cities (or a lot of smaller cities). This will allow you to become the 800-pound gorilla of that smaller city. Often, the combined population of all the smaller cities is larger than the one big city. In his latest column, attorney Jeffrey B. Simon walks us through his current climate accountability case. In June 2023, we filed suit on behalf of Multnomah County against several large energy companies and allied trade organizations. We contend that energy industry insiders played God with the lives of innocent and vulnerable people by selling as much oil, gas and coal as they could while lying about how much harm to American communities pollution from those products would likely cause. We know from internal corporate documents that some of the oil companies we sued understood more than 50 years ago that carbon emissions from the fossil fuel products they sold were polluting the atmosphere at a high rate and would cause the Earth’s surface temperature to substantially rise.
