Flos inaugurated a new Design Space at the renowned Tenmaya department store in Japan's Okayama Prefecture. The sleek and minimal 14 m2 space at Connect Okayama showcases both iconic designs and new releases as part of an engaging shop-in-shop concept.
Architect Karan Desai shares the journey of bringing a dream project to life in a recently completed 2,500 sq ft, three-bedroom duplex in South Mumbai. The project, a collaboration with entrepreneur Jignesh Shah, showcases an array of luxury brands like Molteni & Dada, Roche Bobois, and Flos. The living room opens to the Mumbai skyline, adorned with a window from Sunroom Italy and furnishings like a Karan Desai-designed carpet and Glas Italia center table from AUX Home. Desai's unconventional approach is evident throughout the residence, with unique elements like an entrance door in marble with an e-key finger lock and custom-made MS staircase finished in liquid copper. The collaborative process allowed for the incorporation of 25 luxury brands and bespoke design elements. The result is a stunning home with a cantilevered staircase, a terrace illuminated with backlit Vondom furniture, and a master bedroom that serves as a showcase of craftsmanship. The project stands as a testament to the transformative power of collaboration and creativity in realizing architectural dreams.
