  • Why do employees stay 12+ years? This housing authority has the answer. In a world where turnover is the norm, this housing authority stands out—its employees stay an average of 12 years. That’s not by accident. Their secret? They invest back into their people. The CEO, a big believer in promoting from within, actively encourages employees to further their education—whether it’s finishing an undergrad degree or pursuing advanced training. It’s not just about career growth; it’s about building a stronger, more capable team that can serve their community better. This approach allows them to expand their services, innovate, and make the most of every dollar they receive. Housing authorities have always had to fight for funding, and this one proves how far strategic investments—in people—can go. It’s impressive to see what can happen when leadership prioritizes growth, opportunity, and internal talent. #LocalGov #PublicSector #Innovation #Technology #CareerGrowth #LeadershipMatters #EmployeeDevelopment

  • How much data should you carry over to a new system? It’s one of the most frequent questions we hear during ERP projects, and the answer is anything but straightforward. When planning a data migration, it’s about having a clear strategy for how your data will be archived, accessed, and managed. Many organizations worry they’ll lose important historical data, but with the right plan, that data can remain accessible, whether through your current system, a third-party cloud solution, or an archival service from your new vendor. The key is understanding that not all data is created equal. Financial records, HR data, and operational history often require different approaches. A successful migration strategy balances what’s necessary for daily operations with what’s practical for long-term storage. • Is your software secretly running AI you didn’t approve? Welcome to the age of "Shadow AI," where vendors quietly slip AI features into your systems through routine updates. No warnings, no discussions—just a new reality where your data might be training AI models without your knowledge. For public agencies, this isn’t a hypothetical scenario—it’s happening now. And the implications are massive: compromised data privacy, unexpected risks, and a lack of control over your own systems. So, what’s the plan? Some agencies are taking charge of crafting AI-specific policies and demanding transparency from vendors. Others are stuck playing catch-up. The truth is AI isn’t waiting for anyone. If you’re not proactive, you’re already behind. How are you handling AI? #ShadowAI #GovTech #DataPrivacy

  • If you're about to invest in an ERP system or any other modernization technology, here's one piece of advice that could save you a lot of trouble: don't pay everything upfront. We often step in to rescue failed implementations, and one of the most challenging situations is when the client has already paid the full amount. At that point, recovering your investment becomes nearly impossible due to restrictive contract terms and liability clauses. Here's a key consideration: If you don’t even have access to a testing environment or your environment isn’t set up yet, paying upfront introduces significant risks. Yes, some situations may require partial payments, but these should be carefully reviewed. If you’re unsure or need a second opinion, I encourage you to reach out. I love helping businesses navigate these decisions. A quick look at your contract or project setup could save you a lot of frustration later. Let’s set you up for success—without the financial headaches. #ERP #Modernization #DigitalTransformation #BusinessTechnology #ContractManagement

  • Do we have vendor support for our applications? It’s a simple question, but the answer can reveal a lot about the state of your IT strategy. Too often, organizations skip vendor support to save money upfront, thinking they’ll manage just fine without it. At first, it seems like a smart move, but over time, the cracks start to show—missed updates, no access to expert advice, and unnecessary downtime that could have been avoided. Vendor support isn’t just an extra cost; it’s an investment in keeping your systems running smoothly and staying ahead of potential challenges. Without it, you risk being stuck with outdated tools and limited flexibility when things go wrong. Have you experienced the impact of not having vendor support? It’s a decision worth reconsidering if long-term success is the goal. #TechStrategy #VendorSupport #Adaptability #ITManagement
