One of these beautiful mornings.. Started the day with an early drive to Cannes, taking in a peaceful morning walk along a quiet and sunny Croisette before the World AI Cannes Festival with Alex Jouatte. Great to see the energy in the room, listen to IBM's talk on Agentic AI, and have meaningful conversations with fellow entrepreneurs who like us, are trying to make a positive impact out there. Looking back at launching Axiōma Search in September 2024, positioning ourselves within the AI revolution... what a journey it's been. I'm (extremely) bullish on the French and European AI ecosystem - and here's why. France's AI foundation is strong. We've got world-class research institutions, a growing startup scene, and some seriously talented people. Every week I'm seeing brilliant new startups emerge. And as a fellow Frenchman, it’s always a pleasure to support and work with French startups and founders. But let's be real - competing with tech giants for talent is tough. They've got deeper pockets and bigger names (akka prestige). That's exactly why startups need to nail their hiring strategy. Some interesting numbers from January's VC funding: $26B raised globally, with Healthcare AI taking center stage. I've been sourcing talent for AI drug discovery since 2018 and it's been fascinating to watch this space evolve.
