We had another great poll last week! Here's our answer: The debate rages on regarding this topic. Some companies actively employ rotation to reduce the prevalence of microbial resistance. Others believe the concentration of the active ingredients are high enough to eliminate resistance occurrence, and instead, utilization a rotation of different classes of disinfectants to disinfectant against different microorganisms (e.g. vegetative bacteria vs filamentous molds).1 1.) Pharmaceutical Online. (2023, November 17). Should you rotate disinfectants? Industry experts weigh in. Pharmaceutical Online. https://lnkd.in/ekvHGG4d
It is recognized that disinfectants are essential for managing microbial contamination on surfaces. Improper use of disinfectants can result in microorganisms remaining on surfaces, allowing them to multiply in the environment. Based on this – we want your input, take our poll below 👇

Thank you to everyone who took our poll! Disinfectants with sporicidal activity are the only classes of disinfectants that are effective at reducing bacterial endospore populations. While disinfectants like Sporklenz are able to effectively reduce bacterial endo-spore former populations, they are harsh on the surfaces they are used to disinfectant, and must be used sparingly.
It is essential for controlled manufacturing environments to use effective disinfectants to reduce microbial populations under specific conditions. The efficacy of a disinfectant is proven through its application on surfaces, the methods used, and its effectiveness against a wide range of microorganisms. Disinfectant efficacy studies are conducted to confirm that these disinfectants are effective. We want your input – take our poll below! 👇
