  • As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we asked our Development Director, Joanne Conger, to reflect on gratitude. Here's her answer: "What am I grateful for? Our donors and their commitment to us. Just knowing that they can see how important this is to so many families – clean diapers – helps me do my work feeling supported by the greater community. Diaper need can lead to a family becoming homeless – I have seen that happen more than once over the 25 years I have worked in homelessness services. Something as simple as a diaper can lead a family right into a crisis that may take years for them to recover from. Our donors make sure BoH can serve as many families as we do. I really couldn’t be more grateful for the generosity I see every day."

  • How aware are you of diaper need in our Native American communities? According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, 30% of Native American families across the United States experience significant diaper need. In 2024, approximately 18% of families served by Babies of Homelessness had Native American household members. When you donate to BoH, we can leverage each dollar to purchase diapers at a steep discount, so each dollar goes much further. Please consider Babies of Homelessness for your end of year giving, for a diaper drive, or for donating diapers and formula, today. The need is now. Give today at https://lnkd.in/g-cc7WjA.

  • It's Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week! Babies of Homelessness serves the most vulnerable in King and Snohomish Counties: homeless and low-income babies and their families. There is a direct line to families falling into homelessness because of diaper need. Without an adequate number of diapers, families can lose daycare, they can lose days of work, they can lose housing. With programs such as WIC not covering the cost of diapers and formula, most families are left to manage enough diapers to keep their babies clean and healthy. Please consider BoH when you think about your end-of-year giving. Your dollars can go a long way to stopping homelessness here it begins.

  • BoH Monthly Donations on the Rise! Gratefully, more supporters are choosing to donate once a month. This helps us plan in very specific ways. By supporting Babies of Homelessness with a monthly donation, you help us meet some of the essential basic needs of homelessness and low-income babies in King and Snohomish Counties. Through BoH’s diaper discounts, just $10 can purchase up to 55 diapers a month - $20 over 100 - $50 nearly 300 diapers. To homeless and low-income families, BoH is a lifeline that not only keeps babies safe and healthy, but parents employed and housed. You can set up monthly donations on our website and stop at anytime. Thank you for recognizing this critical need. https://lnkd.in/g-cc7WjA

  • Why I Chose to Donate to Babies of Homelessness: “Babies of Homelessness is a cause that hits home for me. My very first jobs were working in childcare and education, and now I work with human services nonprofits. Diapers, though crucial for raising babies and young children, are commonly overlooked when people think about what parents and caregivers need to make ends meet. When I found out through Babies of Homelessness that government programs like SNAP and WIC don’t cover this necessity, I knew I needed to take action and get involved. I am glad to support Babies of Homelessness because they have a direct impact on the health and future of children and families in Puget Sound.” Katriana Lopez Donated $100 on September 25th, 2024 During the holiday season, donating to Babies of Homelessness in honor of a loved one can be a great way to give the gift of health and safety for babies in King and Snohomish Counties. Katriana’s $100 gift will help to purchase over 500 diapers.
