On this Veterans Day, the Downtown Business Association joins our community in honoring all those who have served in the military. We express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms. To all the veterans in our community—and to the families who support them—we thank you for your service, sacrifice, and commitment. 🚨🚨NEW MEMBER SPOTLIGHT🚨🚨 Established in 2011, Wellspring Personal Development is a faith-based non-profit counseling center. Wellspring founder, Sherry Rose, is a Bakersfield native who has seen first hand how our community has grown and changed over the years. Bakersfield is a diverse, warm and charitable community. We are also a community with many working lower income people and families, some who are barely getting by. When difficulty comes their way, counseling is a valuable resource they simply cannot afford. At Wellspring, counseling services are provided on a household income basis. Also, many services and groups are provided for through donor scholarship or from Wellspring directly. It is our heart to come along side of people with the care and support they desire, regardless of financial limitations. Wellspring is founded on the idea that counseling should be accessible to all, not a luxury. For nearly a decade, this vision has been made possible through the generosity of our community. Last year alone, Wellspring provided more than $173,000 in free services. From the heart of Wellspring and the thousands of people, children, and families we have seen, thank you Bakersfield for being part of our journey. wellspring-journey.com 2106 20th Street Bakersfield, CA 93301 (661) 489-5953 #DowntownBakersfield #community #nonprofit Vanessa Shaw Bakersfield Downtown Business Association Andrae Gonzales
