We started the big game celebrations a little early with our very first Staff SOUP-er Bowl Challenge! 🤩🥣 Not only did this friendly competition help us find the best chili-maker within our organization, it also went towards a bigger cause 🙌 Each employee who participated was asked to bring in one can of soup to be donated to "The Store" at Philip Barbour High School! We are so pleased to share that Bright Futures - Barbour County, a non-profit dedicated to preventing substance use among local youth, has recently received $90,000 to help drive its mission forward! 🌟 This funding is part of a statewide opioid settlement that totaled $1 billion from pharmacies and companies that contributed to the oversupply of opioids. Around $300 million of the $1 billion award is going to local city and county governments throughout West Virginia. The Barbour County Commission was responsible for distributing the funds among their county, and we couldn't be happier that they approved Bright Futures - Barbour County's proposal!
