Suspended pools pose a particular problem for waterproofing due to the structural flexibility built into the design. By their very nature they are designed to move in order to absorb the weight of the water inside the pool as well as the movement in the building itself. This poses a problem for most traditional cement based bond coats and or waterproofing agents.
