From February 27 to March 1, the Battery Workforce Challenge teams will gather in Greenville, S.C. for an immersive training experience focused on advanced vehicle technology innovation. Students will gain hands-on experience, industry insights, and professional mentorship to accelerate their careers in the fast-evolving battery and automotive sectors. Key highlights include: ✅ Hands-on training with leading industry experts such as Ajay Gnanasekaran, the BattChallenge director; Michael Bly, Stellantis’ senior vice president and head of global propulsion systems; Mark Champine, SVP Product Development - North America Technical Centers at Stellantis Alycia Gilde, U.S. Department of Energy’s senior advisor for transportation and partnerships, and Kristen G. It's Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day at Argonne National Laboratory! Argonne opened its doors to over 100 local 8th-grade girls, inviting them to learn more about careers in STEM and various programs at the lab, including Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions! EcoCAR EV Challenge and Battery Workforce Challenge organizers introduced the attendees to basic battery functionality, as well as connected and automated vehicle (CAV) features by demonstrating a battery-powered robot equipped with an ultrasonic sensor.
