At the #ENLIT Europe 2024 event, we have had the opportunity to present the #Battery2Life project in conjunction with other European projects initiated in 2024. ENLIT Europe seeks to bring together professionals, companies, and leaders of the energy industry to collaborate in the transition towards a more sustainable, intelligent and decentralized energy.
The goal of #BATTERY2LIFE is to make the transition of batteries to their "second life" easier and more efficient. To achieve this, it provides tools that allow batteries to be managed in a more intelligent and adaptable way, in addition to offering improved designs that facilitate the safe reconfiguration of already used batteries, enabling their implementation in both their first and second lives.
CIDETEC Energy Storage will be in charge of the diagnosis and sizing phase that lies between the 1st and 2nd life, facilitating the selection of the modules and sizing the storage system so that it can meet the requirements of the 2nd life application. Likewise, it will develop advanced estimators focused on defining the security and guarantee status of the system, critical aspects in second-life solutions that consist of degraded technology.

En el evento #ENLIT Europe 2024, hemos tenido la oportunidad de presentar el proyecto #Battery2Life en conjunto con otros proyectos europeos iniciados este año 2024. ENLIT Europe busca reunir a profesionales, empresas, y líderes de la industria energética para colaborar en la transición hacia un sistema de energía más sostenible, inteligente y descentralizado.
El objetivo de #BATTERY2LIFE es hacer más fácil y eficiente la transición de las baterías a su "segunda vida". Para lograrlo, proporciona herramientas que permiten gestionar las baterías de forma más inteligente y adaptable, además de ofrecer diseños mejorados que facilitan la reconfiguración segura de baterías ya usadas, posibilita su implementación tanto en su primera como su segunda vida.
CIDETEC Energy Storage se encargará de la fase de diagnóstico y dimensionamiento que se sitúa entre la 1ª y 2ª vida, facilitando la selección de los módulos y dimensionando el sistema de almacenamiento para que pueda cumplir con los requisitos de la aplicación de 2ª vida. Asimismo, desarrollará estimadores avanzados centrados en la definición del estado de seguridad y garantía del sistema, aspectos críticos en las soluciones de segunda vida que constan de tecnología degradada.
