  • For over a decade, Baylor Genetics has been at the forefront of innovation in genetic testing. Our pioneering journey wouldn’t be possible without the incredible contributions of women across every facet of our organization—doctors, nurses, researchers, administrators, genetic counselors, and lab professionals. As we look to the next 10 years, we recognize the vital role women continue to play in advancing genetic science and improving patient lives. Let’s keep empowering, supporting, and uplifting one another to drive a more inclusive future for all. #ThinkBG #WomensHistoryMonth

Meet Kelly. When traditional testing methods fell short and answers seemed out of reach, Whole Genome Sequencing and RNA sequencing at Baylor Genetics changed everything. Testing revealed a FOXP variant—a genetic change linked to neurodevelopmental disorders—providing Kelly’s family with the crucial insights needed to guide her son’s care and finally end their diagnostic odyssey. Today, on Rare Disease Day, Kelly shared her journey on a panel at Johns Hopkins Hospital, bringing together patients, advocates, researchers, and providers to highlight the real-world impact of advanced genomic testing in the rare disease community. We’re honored to play a role in delivering answers that drive better care for families like Kelly’s because behind every test is a patient waiting for answers. #GeneticTesting #PatientsFirst #RareDiseaseDay

  • We commend the groundbreaking contributions of two Black pioneers in genetics: Dr. Georgia Dunston and Dr. Rick Kittles, whose work at Howard University has shaped the future of the field. Dr. Dunston’s pioneering research in human genetics has not only advanced academic understanding but also transformed healthcare, while Dr. Kittles’ leadership and innovation in genetic research continue to break barriers and inspire future discoveries. Their legacies remind us of the power of perseverance, passion, and collaboration in driving meaningful change—paving the way for the next generation of Black scientists. #BlackHistoryMonth #Leadership #Legacy
