With over 7 million Native American and Native Alaskan people living in the US who make up hundreds of diverse tribes and tribal nations, Indigenous people are a diverse population that has a rich array of cuisine, art, music, and more. During this month, we are encouraged to take the time to reflect on the vital importance of preserving the Native American heritage. It highlights the need for us to learn about and acknowledge the challenges the Indigenous people have and continue to face. Our BBDS RV Team has had a busy couple of days at RVDA! The 2024 RVDA Convention started off with Shawn Moran’s training, and the team was on the floor in our new RV Booth, finally rounding out the day with the BBDS Annual Dealer Appreciation event. Keynote speaker Kevin Brown gave a fresh and entertaining talk on The Hero Effect: Being Your Best When It Matters the Most. His message was simple yet powerful. The Cheetah also made an appearance to get the crowd going! Outgoing Chairman Ryan Horsey chose six industry veterans to receive Chairman’s Service Awards for 2024, including our very own Shawn Moran, President of RV BBDS. The Chairman's Service Award is an honor given to individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to the association. It is awarded at the discretion of the current Chairman each year, recognizing those who have gone above and beyond in supporting the RV dealer community through their involvement with the RVDA. Congratulations, Shawn!
