When Army Futures Command established its strategic partnership with the Texas A&M University System back in 2019, Chancellor Sharp asked for specific research areas where the System could assist the US Army in accelerating the development of critical technologies. Integrated #Hypersonics was one of the key areas of interest, specifically in the research, design and construction of hypersonic test facilities. The Ballistic, Aero-optics and Materials (BAM) range here on Texas A&M-RELLIS, which provides unique integrated Hypersonic research and testing capabilities for the nation, is part of that strategic partnership commitment. We were honored to host AFC Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Miles Brown earlier today to discuss our strategic partnership and let him see our, the State of Texas, and the U.S. Government combined commitment and investment in advancing #hypersonic and #directedenergy research.

Earlier this week, we were honored to have an opportunity to host US Army Lt. Gen. Charlie Costanza, Commanding General for U.S. Army V Corps, and select members of his staff during his visit to #Aggieland. During his visit to Texas A&M-RELLIS, we took an opportunity to highlight Texas A&M University System and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) ongoing research efforts and facilities, designed specifically to advance national security. We discussed such topics as #CounterUAS, #autonomy and #networks. Following his engagement with us, he later spoke at the Texas A&M University - The Bush School of Government and Public Service and met with select TAMU ArmyROTC Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Thank you for making the time to visit us and we look forward to potential #collaboration opportunities. #VictoryCorps

We also assisted with the logistics for Chairman of The Joint Staff General CQ Brown, Jr., as well as met with leaders from United States Strategic Command and the United States Marine Corps Deputy Commandant for Information. This is exciting news for the Texas A&M University System! We look forward to having new neighbors join us here on Texas A&M-RELLIS!
TNA was proud to join Texas A&M University System, Kairos Power, Natura Resources, Aalo Atomics and Terrestrial Energy - as well as #txlege members Cody Harris and Greg Bonnen - for today's groundbreaking announcement that these four companies will partner with TAMUS to construct nuclear small modular reactors at RELLIS Campus Data and Research Center. “RELLIS offers an important platform for nuclear innovation, and Texas Nuclear Alliance Founding Members’ cutting-edge technologies will make a tremendous difference for our energy future,” said TNA President Reed Clay. “As Texas continues to seek ways to bolster our grid, we need look no further than nuclear energy to help satisfy our growing demand with affordable, reliable power.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gQbzZMtu #txlege #nuclear #nucleartexas
