Domestic violence does not just impact the lives of the humans in the home but the pets as well. Beacon of Hope Crisis Center’s Foster Pet Program helps secure foster families to keep pet victims safe so human victims can flee without concern. Our Foster Pet Program is not a re-homing service; our focus is to reunite victims and their pets once safety is achieved. https://lnkd.in/ga_Eci95

With a new year coming up, we want to acknowledge the blessings we've received this year. We have been so fortunate to strengthen partnerships, foster relationships within our community, and have so many donors who were willing to give back to aid survivors in our community. We are eternally grateful to serve this community. #NewYearsEve #WeServeAll #Gratitude

Accessibility is all-important. Disabled survivors are at risk of experiencing higher rates of violence in comparison to able-bodied people. We prioritize accessibility in all aspects of our agency. Please support our efforts to reach and help survivors in our community by donating: https://bit.ly/2PfKmjW

Survivors may blame themselves for their traumatic experiences, remind them it is not their fault, let them know you care and will continue to help them, and acknowledge how these events have changed them or their lives. #ListenAndBelieve #KnowTheSigns

The holiday season can increase the risk of isolation and danger for victims of domestic violence. We encourage everyone to work together to raise awareness and ensure no one feels alone or unsafe. #StoptheCycle #HolidayAwareness

Isolation doesn't always look like outright demands you stop hanging with friends and family. It can be more subtle like your partner always having a crisis right before your plans with someone else or implying they bring out the worst in you. #ListenAndBelieve #KnowTheSigns https://bit.ly/3kakpzO
