I sat down with Bethany Gremel to talk through the almost 90 year history of Beck's Hybrids. They are one of the biggest brands in agriculture and are based in Atlanta Indiana... population 746. This is a brand that I think most Hoosiers have heard of but don't really know the story. Their commitment to the American Farmer is second to none. I'm biased... but you should check out the full episode. 😀 (Link Below)

In 1901, Lawrence Beck bought 80 acres in Atlanta, Indiana, and little did he known he was planting a legacy that would shape Indiana agriculture for over a century. Today, his grandson, Lawrence “Sonny” Beck, carries on the family’s tradition of innovation and #Boilermaker spirit. PRF and Cunningham Restaurant Group are honoring that legacy by naming the restaurant coming to the Discovery Park District at Purdue The Lawrence. • In business—and in life—it’s easy to get caught up in what’s next. Growth, innovation, and progress keep us moving forward. But every now and then, it’s just as important to pause and reflect on where we started. Recently, the Beck family took time to go through decades of personal and company archives, uncovering photos, handwritten notes, and mementos that tell the story of our journey. These aren’t just pieces of history—they’re reminders of the hard work, values, and relationships that have shaped who we are today. ✨🌽💛 What’s a piece of your own history that reminds you why you do what you do? We’d love to hear your story!

  • In order to continue making strides in the future, we always like to remember where we started… 💭 In 1937, Francis and Lawrence Beck each planted a three-acre plot of hybrid seed corn, marking the beginning of our journey. From those humble beginnings, we've grown into the largest family-owned retail seed company in the United States with facilities, employees, and dealers across 20 states, all with the goal of helping farmers succeed. Thankful for the hard work that's been done to get us to where we are now. 💛

These studies spanned multiple seasons and states, providing a variety of settings to measure the performance of each technology. Whether you're considering spray drone, or traditional application solutions, you'll want to check out this breakdown to make a more informed decision.
