🏆Congratulations to our 2024 Enviornmental Conservation Award Winner, Rancho Tres Hijos! 🏆 Bub and Nancy Epley, owners of Rancho Tres Hijos,Tilden, Texas, were presented with the BBU Environmental Conservation Award. This award recognizes Beefmaster breeders who are stewards of the land and provides an opportunity for the Beefmaster breed to showcase the conservation and business practices that work together on farms and ranches. As a combination cattle and hunting ranch, the Epleys have dedicated many years to improving land management and conservation strategies that benefit both livestock and wildlife. With a primary practice to never overgraze a pasture, the Epleys maximized grazing opportunities for their Beefmasters and cleared brush to improve wildlife habitat, all while focusing on crucial water conservation efforts.

🏆 Congratulations to our 2024 Breeder of the Year, Cottage Farm Beefmasters! 🏆 The BBU Breeder of the Year award was created to recognize the efforts and contributions made by members to promote BBU and Beefmaster cattle, while also evaluating the type, size and management practices of the member’s breeding program. The 2024 Breeder of the Year was awarded to Cottage Farm Beefmasters, Jackson, Tenn. The Stonecipher family have been raising premier Beefmasters for 50 years and are known throughout the breed for the superior quality and performance of their herd. They have been active BBU members, serving in many leadership roles throughout the years and promoting Beefmasters to both seedstock and commercial producers. They participate in BBU programs, utilize reproductive technologies to improve their breeding program, and collect data to further advance their operation. Cottage Farms is a dedicated supporter of JBBA and the Beefmaster Educational Endowment Foundation (B.E.E.F.), consign and buy cattle at various sales, and have hosted a production sale many years.
