  • The quick truth about behavior change? It will never be “three easy steps”. And while oversimplification can spread misinformation, it can also signal GOOD news for b-sci— it shows we’re hitting the mainstream!   Nudges and biases are a great starting point, but understanding and changing human behavior incorporates lessons from anthropology, psychology, social economics, neuroscience... The interplay of these disciplines gives us a nuanced understanding of behavioral goals— the reasons WHY behavior may need to be changed in the first place!   The takeaway: let’s leave behavior change to the experts. There’s no shortcut to meaningful impact, but there are science-backed ways to get there. Curious? BEESY can help 😊 #behavioralscience #nudges #scientificevidence #behaviorchange

"Nudges don't work - do these three easy steps to change any behavior" Every couple of weeks, I see a post like that. Someone cites an academic study, points to the low effect size and states that "nudges/incentives/interventions, etc." don't work to change behavior. The only right conclusion from such a finding is "Behavior is extremely hard to change and very context dependent." But instead the conclusion sounds like this "Academics are idiots and don't understand "the real world", but I who has worked in "the real world" I know the simple formula that works every time." Unfortunately, there is never any evidence that this simple formula works. Fact: There are some great peer-reviewed prediction studies which show that practically everyone's gut feeling is a terrible predictor of what works and how well. I understand that people who post a statement like that on LinkedIn do this to sell their service, but they help fuel a narrative of "we don't need science, we just need people with a big ego and their gut feelings" - something that not just in behavioral science is dangerous for progress. Next thing we know, the US will get rid of vaccinations, because someone's feeling was that they don't work in the real world and had an easy three step process to stay healthy instead... #behavioralscience #nudges #scientificevidence

  • BEESY launched SAM, our deterministic AI model, earlier this year. SAM's built from the ground up for the consistent identification of behavioral science principles... Let’s see how she did! 📜 Hundreds of transcripts analyzed— that’s 188,322 paragraphs of data! 🗣️ 44,311 behavioral drivers identified— over 30 behaviors per transcript. 🩺 Over two dozen therapeutic areas studied— more experience with each application. SAM is custom-built to continuously improve through use. And with rigorous human oversight baked into every level, SAM will always work with the right data at the right time. So, what's next for our System-1 Analytics Model? Deeper segmentation for richer, more actionable personas! Operational expansion to increase our efficiency! Improved accuracy in identifying behavioral drivers— giving our behavioral experts a true eye in the sky (or maybe a second brain? 🧠) Stay tuned for updates on SAM’s journey and reach out to learn more about how BEESY is utilizing AI to advance the way you approach healthcare market research! #SAM #AI #BEESY #behavioralscience #marketresearch
