According to the American Dental Association, over half of Medicaid beneficiaries did not visit a dentist in the last 12 months. While there are several reasons, one barrier to care is considerably bigger than the rest.

Dr. Jane Whang, regional director of clinical for Benevis, recently spoke to Ariana Portalatin at Becker's Healthcare about the organization’s dental hygiene care model. “I like to say we have perfected [the assisted hygiene model].
