The Berine and Bokwe Foundation (BEBOF) proudly participated in the launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence yesterday, joining organizations and advocates to amplify the fight against violence targeting women and girls. The event featured impactful speeches, survivor testimonies, and discussions on sustainable solutions to address gender-based violence. BEBOF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable women, particularly widows and underprivileged individuals, while showcasing insights from ongoing projects like the Empowering Widowed Farmers initiative. As the campaign unfolds, BEBOF urges everyone to take action against GBV and stand together for a safer, equitable world. When the HIV-negative partner takes PrEP, it can help prevent them from acquiring the virus during sex, making it a powerful tool for those wanting to conceive safely. This means that couples can have the chance to build their families without fear. At BEBOF, we’re here to raise awareness, offer support, and break down barriers. Health is a fundamental human right, as recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). However, conflicts make it hard to fully achieve this right. In our Maternity Health Mobile Hub project in Matoh, funded by Grand Challenges Canada, we’ve made great strides in providing essential maternal health services to vulnerable communities. These efforts can be expanded to help other communities, but conflict severely limits their effectiveness. We urge everyone to embrace peace in our communities, as a peaceful environment is crucial for ensuring access to health services and a better future for all. CommunityHelpProject of America!
