That’s 125 years of inspiring great futures for kids in Pawtucket, Central Falls, and beyond. This year, we’re celebrating our history and looking ahead to an even brighter future - and we want YOU to be part of it! Congratulations to our wonderful friends Stop & Shop!! We are so proud to recognize you for all you have done for our Club and our community.

This morning we hosted our Annual Meeting here in our Teen Center. We had over 100 attendees, with our very own Club kids presenting recognition awards to our board members, trustees, staff, and community partners who make it possible for our kids to access endless opportunities. We heard from Mayor of Pawtucket Don Grebien, Governor Dan McKee, as well as our Board President Joseph Fleming, 1st Vice President Bruce Messier, and our CEO Jim Hoyt. We reflected on the past 124 years and unveiled our new logo commemorating our 125th anniversary next year. We also officially launched an Endowment Campaign with a goal of raising $125,000 to help secure the financial future of the Club for generations to come. Thank you to our Club members for their fantastic job speaking, and thank you to all who attended this morning and for your continued support helping us inspire great futures.

This Saturday marked another successful Turkey Express event for our Club! For the second year in a row it was a wet, chilly morning, but the rain didn’t stop all of our amazing volunteers for coming out to take part in this annual event. Over the past 18 years, our incredible friends at Stop & Shop have provided thousands of Club families across Rhode Island with a Thanksgiving turkey and all of the fixings. A sincere thank you to the whole team at Stop & Shop, and all of the volunteers who came out to help move thousands of pounds of food in record time - including Club Board members, trustees, staff, local police, and other community partners. Back at our Club our staff was joined by the team from TW Financial Group to pack bags with all of the ingredients a family could need for a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Members of our Teen Center’s Keystone Club then volunteered to hand out the meals to our Club families. Each year this event takes many hands and a lot of generosity to be as successful as it is, and we are so appreciative to every single person who not only makes all of this happen for our members and their families, but returns year after year to do it again. Thank you to BayCoast Bank for generously sponsoring our second annual Trunk or Treat at Camp Ramsbottom! We loved seeing all of the creative costumes and decorated trunks! On Friday we had 20 different community partner teams, along with our Club staff, come together to decorate both our pre-teen and teen spaces and put together goody bags and treats for all of our members. Thank you so much to our incredible friends at Collette for hosting our kindergarteners at a Halloween event yesterday! The fantastic Collette team welcomed our young members in costume, and turned their office into a Halloween wonderland! The kids had a blast touring the office, where the staff competed for the title of best decorated workspace - and our members got to play judge! Of course, no Halloween adventure is complete without some sweet treats to take home, and our members left with plenty of smiles (and candy)!
