Many in New Orleans, Louisiana, are mourning the loss of neighbors, friends, and family members after 14 people were killed and about three dozen more injured in a brutal attack on New Year’s Day.    In the middle of their unimaginable grief, crisis-trained chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team are standing beside them, praying with them, and sharing the love and comfort of Jesus Christ. Around 3 a.m. on the first morning of 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a man drove a pickup truck at high speed into a crowd on Bourbon Street—killing 14 people and injuring around three dozen more. At the invitation of local church leaders, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team has deployed crisis-trained chaplains to minister to this grieving community. Please pray for people mourning the loss of loved ones, and for those who were injured in this horrific event.

At the invitation of local authorities, crisis-trained #RRTchaplains are deploying to New Orleans following a New Year’s terror attack early Wednesday that’s resulted in at least 10 fatalities and dozens of injuries. “This level of violence and hate is unfathomable and heartbreaking. We weep for the many whose lives were forever changed through this senseless and brutal terror attack,” said Josh Holland, international director of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team.
