Here Are The 2025 Predictions From Real Estate's Top Players I asked a few of my real estate buddies what they thought 2025 will bring in. Here's what they said: Chris Okada | Okada & Company : "I believe the worst is behind us. NYC Office leasing in 2024 broke 30M square feet. I believe the high volume of leasing trends should continue into 2025. I also believe there is tremendous "FOMO" by investors. The last thing we need for a full recovery are the banks. This can take some time. Ryan Serhant | SERHANT. " For residential real estate nationwide, we should see an average price increase of 3% and total volume of sales increase 10%. There were fewer transactions last year than 2023; last year was the worst. [2024] was the slowest year since 94'. 90% of homeowners have mortgages under 5%. There are only so many people that can buy in cash" Check out my story on Instagram (@chrisokada) for the Ryan Serhant interview or link here (https://lnkd.in/es-aZZyj) Bob Knakal | BKREA - BK Real Estate Advisors : "In 2025, sales volume in Manhattan will exceed 5% for the first time in at least 40 years. The long term average is 2.6% and the previous high was 4.3% in 2012. Put your space helmets on, it’s going to be a wild ride!" Adam Dunn | Berkadia : "HNY Chris! The multihousing market is one of the primary sectors institutional investors are bullish. Despite headlines of oversupply, the US is severely underhoused. It is even more pronounced in high barrier to entry markets like the northeast. The favorable supply/demand dynamics coupled with significant amounts of dry powder are resulting in institutional investors to “lean in” to quality assets in quality locations. We anticipate transaction volumes will return to normal during 2025 and beyond. We are ready!" So! Everyone thinks it will be better. Also, 70% of my LinkedIn followers believe the worst is behind us. Cheers!!!
