It was an incredible honor to speak at the opening of the 2024 Black Blockchain Summit, hosted at the historic Dirksen Senate Office Building in the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Room. This location, is now at the heart of policy and governance of the Crypto industry. What started in 2018 as a small gathering at Howard University has grown into an impactful platform that amplifies Black voices and contributions in the Bitcoin, Web3 and Blockchain space. This year’s summit is no different, as we address critical issues around finance, technology, and economic empowerment. I had the distinct pleasure of introducing Najah Roberts, a true trailblazer in cryptocurrency education and financial literacy. Her work is pivotal in helping bridge the wealth gap, and she perfectly embodies the spirit of empowerment that the Black Blockchain Summit represents.
