About us

Black Philanthropy Month (BPM), observed every August, is a year-round social action initiative, featuring a global campaign every August to elevate African-descent giving in all its forms. Founded by Dr. Jackie Bouvier Copeland in association with Reunity (formerly known as Pan-African Women's Philanthropy Network), BPM launched in 2011 to commemorate the United Nations Year and Decade of People of African Descent.
