Last year we supported the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation to explore and refine its grantmaking strategies to advance equitable and inclusive outcomes for the partners and communities it serves, consistent with its mission and values. We are excited to see the new Community Grants strategy in action with this announcement of support of 18 organizations in western Cook County focused on mental and behavioral health. https://lnkd.in/dC6gQ8C6

The pushback we face is not a sign of failure, but rather evidence that our community's persistent efforts are creating meaningful change that cannot be ignored. Check out our latest #newsletter to learn more about the legacy of Black philanthropy and the ways we are working to draw strength and wisdom from generations of Black Americans who have persisted in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. https://lnkd.in/gnGWAYpU Not on our mailing list?
