Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Passive Fire Contracts Manager to lead/ manage our passive fire protection projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection, excellent project management skills, and commitment to safety and compliance. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of contracts, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of passive fire protection projects • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies • Ensure all work is carried out to compliance/details • Conduct regular site visits/ inspections to assess progress and quality of work • Prepare/ present project reports, updates, and documentation to stakeholders • Oversee procurement of materials • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams • Create/ sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business Skills/Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the fire protection industry. • In-depth knowledge of passive fire protection systems, (fire doors would be advantageous) • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills • Ability to read/ interpret construction drawings and specifications • Proficiency in project management software/ tools such as Office 365 • Ability to prepare/ present reports in excel • Strong problem-solving/ decision-making abilities • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Relevant certifications- NVQ6, IFE level 3 (2), SMSTS are desirable • contracts management: 2 years (preferred) What We Offer: • Competitive salary/ benefits package. • A supportive/ collaborative work environment. • The chance to make a meaningful impact on safety and fire protection. Blue Chip PFP Ltd was established in 2016 as a third party accredited passive fire protection installation contractor. Initially for the purpose of the remediation of legacy projects for the UK commercial construction sector. This has since extended into refurbishment and new build projects of varying scales. Following the tragic loss of life at Grenfell. The entire fire safety industry has been examined. The subsequent Hackett Report, which reviewed, building regulations and fire safety. Has seen the most significant piece of legislation affecting the UK construction industry. The Building safety Act 2022. This has drawn notice and rise for concern from companies concerned with facilities management, building owners, and building managers. In fact, anyone who has responsibility for fire safety within buildings. The PFP Survey process has become the most requested service we offer. In many cases Clients contact us with a risk assessment which states insufficient FR (fire resistance) against a photograph of some clearly non-compliant fire stop installation. Although a risk assessment report like this can bring awareness to the customer, it rarely builds the full picture of: • What is required • Where it is required • The Condition of what is installed • The requirement of any remediation • The duration and process of the remedial works We understand that the survey and possible remedial works are not something that the client would have budgeted for. The expenditure will be strictly controlled and explained. Delivering maximum effect for the budget. Our services comprise of but limited to. Production of compartmentation drawings. Initial overview surveys, in depth compartmentation and structural protection surveys. Fire door surveys, remediation to existing Passive fire protection material. Remediation and fitting of new fire doors.
