  • Exciting news! Another breakthrough application of BMKMANU Spatial Transcriptomics Technology in the plant domain! Our client's pioneering study, published in Nature Communications on November 6th, titled "Tracing the evolutionary and genetic footprints of atmospheric tillandsioids transition from land to air," marks a pivotal advancement. Employing a multi-omics approach, the research delved into the origin, evolution timeline, and driving forces behind the atmospheric tillandsioids' adaptation to aerial environments. It unveiled the genetic basis of unique adaptive organ characteristics and survival strategies for nutrient acquisition in the air. Spatial transcriptomic analysis revealed rapid expression of genes related to secondary cell wall synthesis in root sheath and cortex tissues, laying the molecular groundwork for rapid lignification and mechanical anchoring during root growth. BMKGENE's S1000 spatial transcriptomics chip, known for its subcellular resolution, three-in-one design, and plant-specific cell segmentation analysis method, continues to advance research across a growing range of species. The technology has now been upgraded to the S3000 model, offering higher resolution to support more researchers.   #BMKGENE #BMKMANU #SpatialTranscriptomics #Genetics #Subcellular

  • Strand-specific sequencing can distinguish whether an RNA sample originates from the sense strand or the antisense strand, thereby determining the transcription direction of RNA. Through this technology, researchers can more accurately analyze gene expression patterns, discover new transcripts, and identify the locations of RNA modifications. Strand-specific sequencing is particularly crucial in RNA sequencing, where the distinction between the sense and antisense strands is essential for understanding the regulatory mechanisms of gene expression. There are several different techniques and strategies for implementing strand-specific sequencing. Here are some commonly used methods: 1. dUTP method: The reverse strand is labeled with dUTP during reverse transcription. Subsequently, Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UDG) is used to degrade the dUTP-labeled strand before sequencing. 2. Double-stranded RNA-specific enzyme treatment: Utilizing double-stranded RNA-specific enzymes like RNase H to selectively degrade one of the strands, achieving strand specificity. 3. Primer design: Designing specific primers to selectively guide reverse transcription or PCR reactions, thereby labeling RNA strands. 4. Chemical modification: Introducing special chemical modifications to distinguish between the strands. #BMKGENE can provide Strand-specific mRNA sequencing service, to meet the research needs of researchers. #mRNA #StrandSpecific #RNAseq #dUTP #RNaseH

  • The article published in Phenomics, Integrative Identification by Hi-C Revealed Distinct Advanced Structural Variations in Lung Adenocarcinoma Tissue. This study used high-throughput chromosome (Hi-C) conformation capture technology to detect the advanced structural variations in chromatin of two non-smoking lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors and paired normal tissues. The results indicate that significant chromatin variations are detected in tumor tissues compared with normal tissues. This study provides a comprehensive overview of advanced structures in LUAD for the first time and provides a basis for further research on the genetic variation of this tumor. #BMKGENE provided Hi-C chromatin interaction bioinformatics analysis services for this study.   #HiC #ChromatinInteraction #LungCancer #TumorRelatedGenes

  • Haplotype-resolved genome assembly is a powerful approach in genomics that aims to reconstruct the two unique copies of chromosomes present in an individual, known as haplotypes. By deciphering the genetic variations in each haplotype, this method provides a comprehensive view of an individual's genomic landscape. One of the key features of haplotype-resolved genome assembly is its ability to distinguish between maternal and paternal alleles, allowing researchers to uncover complex genetic structures and better understand inheritance patterns. This high-resolution reconstruction can elucidate structural variations, identify rare alleles, and improve the accuracy of genome annotations. BMKGENE now offers a range of genome assembly analysis services at different levels. For more information on BMKGENE's genome assembly services and how haplotype resolution can advance your research, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us! #genomeassembly #haplotype #BMKGENE #Genomics

  • 🎉 Happy National Pickle Day! 🥒 Did you know that the humble pickle is more than just a tasty snack? It's also a perfect example of how microbiomes shape the world around us — even in your jar!   Pickling, like fermentation, relies on a diverse community of bacteria (aka, the microbiome) to transform cucumbers into the tangy pickles we love. These microbes, particularly Lactobacillus species, work their magic to preserve food while enhancing flavor and even boosting health benefits.   At BMKGENE, we specialize in microbiome sequencing, helping businesses understand and harness the power of microbes in food, health, and beyond. Whether you're creating the next generation of fermented foods or researching new microbial applications, we’re here to help you decode the hidden world of microbes.   So, this National Pickle Day, let’s celebrate the science of fermentation, the microorganisms that make it possible, and the wonders of the microbiome! 🌱🔬   #NationalPickleDay #Microbiome #FermentationScience #MicrobialInnovation #Biotech #FoodScience #Pickles #HealthyMicrobes #SequencingSolutions
