From Skate the Coast & Be Healthy Get Active Classes to Partner Collabs & Survivor Wellness Retreats, it’s been a busy October full of community, connection, and spreading breast cancer education and prevention, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the incredible support we’ve received! Whether you pushed for prevention with us at Skate the Coast or moved to make a difference in our Be Healthy Get Active classes, shopped to support by purchasing a B4BC partner product or bid in our online auction, joined us on a wellness retreat or sponsored a survivor, volunteered or hosted an event, donated or collaborated - thank you! This October we pushed for prevention with 150 supporters at the 17th Annual Skate the Coast Presented by LivOn Labs, held 2 wellness retreats serving over 30 survivors supported by LivOn Labslabs & YETI Canada, hosted 48 Be Healthy, Get Active classes thanks to our incredible instructors and studios, collaborated with more than 15 brand partners, and raised a total of almost $100K in support of B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs! Our organization would not be able to continue to serve our community while growing and spreading our mission of early detection + a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention without each and every one of you. Our Be Healthy, Get Active Fitness + Fundraising campaign came to a close last week, and we want to take a moment to thank all of the instructors, studios, and participants that made this series such a success! During the month of October we were able to hold 48 classes with the support of 25 studios and over 250 participants, reaching communities from coast to coast (even Puerto Rico!) and raising over $6,000 in support of B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs! The 17th Annual Skate the Coast Presented by LivOn Labs kicks off THIS SATURDAY! Join us October 26-27th in Santa Monica, CA as we push for prevention along the iconic Southern California Strand in support of B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs! Skate the Coast is a 15-mile push for prevention open to all ages, abilities, and wheels! We’ll be kicking off the weekend with a registration party this Saturday, October 26th at Firestone Walker Brewing Co.
