Austin’s tech sector has seen significant layoffs in 2024, with nearly 4,000 jobs cut and some companies relocating or closing operations. Despite this downturn, local economists remain optimistic about the industry's future, citing Austin's low unemployment rate and ongoing job openings. They believe the city's tech growth will stabilize and continue over the next decade, supported by investments in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. https://lnkd.in/evdUs_w8
