Watch our founder 🌱Carl Palme speak with Matt Crane from MGMT Boston about Boundless Robotics and the future of Food Automation in your living room!
Welcome 🌱Carl Palme, Co-Founder & CEO at Boundless Robotics on this episode of 🔥 The Lantern 🔥 Boundless is building the technology that makes it possible for people to grow 5% of their food at home effortlessly by 2030. 🔍 What’s going on inside Boundless Robotics heading into 2025? 🔎 Their consumer robotics product launched in 2024 with countless market learnings. 2025 is about expansion! They are expanding into Europe (Germany specifically) where the cultures are into homeopathy and growing pesticide free plants (maybe more so than Americans!). You can grow pretty much anything using their product from Pothos plants to peppers to tomatoes or even cannabis. Their device uses AI and data to help people grow more of their food at home. 🤔 What has Carl learned from his startup career & building Boundless Robotics? 🤔 Over the last 20 years working in hardware, seeing what's happening with tariffs & the supply chain, there is an increased focus on having their supply chain onshore and building in flexibility. They are actually assembling most of their product here in Boston! 🤝 How can we help? 🤝 Boston has a great ecosystem for hardware - robotics, medical devices, etc. But consumer hardware is lacking! Carl would like to see more consumer hardware companies in Boston and the infrastructure to support their growth from events to talent and beyond. Let’s build more of it here!
